Frequently asked questions
What makes the Obasan Grand Organic Wool and Latex Mattress Topper different from other toppers?
This topper combines 2.25 inches of GOLS-certified organic latex with 2 inches of organic wool, plus a GOTS-certified organic cotton knit cover and 100% organic cotton piping. The wool is needle-punched for resilience, and the design aims to provide pressure relief, contouring support, and temperature regulation for a plush, soothing surface.
How should I set it up to get the best sleep experience?
Place the topper on your mattress with the wool side up, cover with your sheets, and ensure it lies flat without bunching. The knit cover helps minimize surface tension and keeps the wool from shifting, so it stays evenly cushioned.
Who would benefit most from this topper and who might not be ideal?
It suits sleepers seeking balanced cushioning with pressure relief and spine support, plus natural temperature regulation. It may be less ideal for those who prefer a firmer or thinner layer or for people who do not want natural wool in contact with the skin.
What materials is it made of and what does that mean for daily use?
The topper uses 2.25 inches of GOLS-certified organic latex and 2 inches of organic wool, with a GOTS-certified organic cotton knit cover and 100% organic cotton piping. In daily use, this combination aims to provide durable cushioning, breathable surface comfort, and how the wool helps regulate temperature.
Is this topper suitable for year-round use and varying climates?
Yes. The wool layer helps regulate temperature for a balanced sleep surface, supporting comfort in different seasons, while the latex provides ongoing contouring support.
